The experimental vehicle will be presented next to Honda’s ambitious “Cooperative Mobility Ecosystem”.
Honda NeuV: Powered by AI and Emotions
The Honda NeuV is expected to be a fully electric and automated commuter vehicle. What will set the NeuV apart is its AI-powered “emotion engine” that is Honda believes will create new possibilities for interaction between humans and vehicles.
Also revealed as part of the Japanese Automakers preview of its CES 2017 presentation is what the company is calling a “Cooperative Mobility Ecosystem”.
The new technology is designed to makes our lives better by helping to solve many modern road issues such as traffic congestion. Thanks to the CME, Honda NeuV will feature new modes of in-car connectivity as well.
What Honda is proposing with the Cooperative Mobility Ecosystem is an interconnected network of cars and possibly traffic control systems. The ecosystem will enable vehicles to communicate with each other as well as with humans in order to help traffic congestion and incidents.
Consequently, at the time of writing details were still thin on the ground as Honda’s NeuV announcement amounted to only a tease. Still, the company is set to divulge further details on the Honda NeuV early next year at the CES 2017 consumer electronics and technology tradeshow in Las Vegas.
